Wonderful views of Lake Huron are yours with this charming A-Frame cottage, located 15 minutes from the town of Cheboygan. The beach here is just steps from the deck and cottage. The cottage has been completely remodeled inside, and is just beautiful! The cottage features an open concept living, dining, and kitchen area, 3 bedrooms, and one full bath. The cottage is located in a quiet wooded association which features four parks, complete with playground equipment, basketball courts, and a sand volleyball court. The roads in the area are great for bike riding, jogging or walking. This is an ideal cottage for families or couples. Please note that due to high water levels, the beach at this cottage has been greatly reduced in size. Wave action on the Great Lakes can change the consistency of the beach on a daily basis, from all sand to all small stones. When it is all stones, there is a nice sand beach, less than a mile away at one of the beach areas owned by the association that the cottage is in.
This cottage does not have a sandy beach. Recent high-water levels on Lake Huron have resulted in erosion of the waterfront area of properties in this area. To address this problem, homeowners in the area of the cottage have had a contractor place large rocks along the waterfront. Each homeowner has been provided with a set of "steps", consisting of flat-topped rocks that lead to the water. The lake bottom once you enter the water is made up of mostly small stones.

This little cottage has been a perfect location for me, my daughter and three grand daughters for the last three summers. Plenty of space, inviting beach area and rock collection, sunrise and sunset in one location, private, clean and affordable. This year the water level was higher than previous years so we ventured out into the surrounding area a little more, going to Rogers City to a fine beach, and another trip across the Bridge. My daughter and I would both recommend this cottage. It's a beautiful location as described more elaborately in the other reviews....and we have returned 3 times!
